Techno-economic assessment of blast furnace gas pre-combustion decarbonisation integrated with the power generation

Aiming at the iron and steel industry decarbonisation with blast furnace gas (BFG) utilisation, a techno-economic feasibility of pre-combustion carbon capture methyl diethanolamine (MDEA) is evaluated herein. The effectiveness water shift (WGS) implementation on performance also investigated. integration power plant decarbonised fuel from unit taken into account both technical economic perspectives. Moreover, CCR thermal H2-rich 266.8 MW 269.6 MW. advantages based case do not beneficial na environment since emissions increase 51 kgCO2/GJLHV 70 kgCO2/GJLHV. fully reveals 37.52% (without WGS) 24.27% (with efficiencies are achievable through combined cycle integration. For cycle, reactor will reduce emission 675.1 kgCO2/MWh in comparison 1391.5 no WGS.
